Anjali agrees to play role in Laure
Kathmandu (Pahichan) March 8 – Film Producer Sunil Raul has made an agreement with transgender Anjali Lama for his new film Laure. Lama is the first transgender women of the world to participate in Lakme Fashion Week drawing the attention of LGBTI community of the world. LGBTI community is appreciating her participation in the Lakme Fashion Week.
“We were in talks for some times. Now, it has been confirmed. As she is currently in India we are to yet sign a legal document but there has been an agreement between us,” said Lama. Lamke Fashion week is one of the popular modeling of the world. Raul is providing spaces to new and energetic faces in the competition. The role of Anjali and Shreesti will be in parallel.
32 years old Anjali was born in Nuwakot district. Though she was born as boy he gets up and gestures were like a girl in the school. After she came to know her gender identity, she started cross dress-up.
In the initial days, her family was hesitant to accept her identity but family gradually accepted her identity. She conducted a breast surgery few years back. Along with Shrestha, there are several characters in the film. The film is directed by Nigam Shrestha.
