Kathmandu (Pahichan) December 16 – Different people have different capacities irrespective of his or her gender identity. Actor Ramesh Upreti is working with this conviction. On the basis of same conviction, he has provided role to transgender in his film.
“We should not discriminate to anyone on the basis of gender,” said Upreti. In the film titled Aishwarya, audience liked the role of transgender. He requested not to take this in a negative light. “The projection in cinema and real life should not be different. I will incorporate this community in the future as well,” Upreti said.
He said like other, members of this community should get prestige and dignity. Couple of months ago, Actress Rekha Thapa reached the restaurant operated by transgender model Meghana Lama and said she is providing space to transgender. Actress Richha Sharma has incorporated the issues of LGBTI in her film half-love. Members of this community are getting space in the films.
