Ensure the participation of this community in government jobs: Thapa

Kathmandu (Pahichan) December 16 – Political Analyst Uttamraj Thapa has said that members of gender and sexual minority should get government jobs through the reservation. Speaking to Pahichan, he said if such provisions are made there will not be big difficulties to adjust in the society.

“There should be certain reservation in the health law and security agencies. If this is made it would pave the way for their respectable way of life,” said Thapa.  He said marriage between male and male and between female and female is not accepted. If the reservation is made, he said, it would pave the way to accept same-sex marriage.

He said members of this community have gained a lot in the last 16 years. “The rights of this community will be secured step by step and it is gradual process. The rights gained in a gradual way are sustainable way,” Thapa said.
