LGBTI in Clean Kathmandu, Green Kathmandu campaign, Hishila Yami encourages the members of this community
Kathmandu (Pahichan) March 26 – Gender and Sexual minority have made their significant participation in the Clean Kathmandu, Green Kathmandu, a social campaign launched by Naya Shakti Nepal. Homosexual, transgender, bisexual and intersex people cleaned up Baudha Stupa for two hours on Saturday evening.
A team led by Chairman of Blue Diamond Society Pinky Gurung who is also central member of Interim Council of Naya Shakti, reached the place. Gurung said they are feeling good to get an opportunity to clean the temple.
According to her, such campaign would help to make city pollution free. Leader of Naya Shakti Hishila Yami expressed eagerness to know about this community asking the number of participant. Gurung informed that there are 50 members from this community.
In the previous week, there were 200 LGBTI who were involved in cleaning the Pashupati temple. Yami expressed happiness and positioned herself to take a group photo with members of this community. “Yami involved with us which has made us happy,” said LGBTI participants.
