Kailali (Pahichan) March 28 – Members of gender and sexual minority have said that they should join the political parties to higglight their issues and concers.
Speaking at a program organized by Naya Shakti Nepal in Dhangadi, they said members of this community should be active from grass-root leve to upper level so that it would be easy to address the issues of this community.
“To ensure the rights, members of this community should collaborate with political parties,” said Transgender Karuna Nepal. Transgender Ashika Chaudhary also echoed the same.
“Members of this community are facing discrimination due to their separate identity,” said Chaudhary. They said if politically united, it would help to ensure the participation in state mechanism.
