The concerns of this community will be taken into account: Lawmaker Barma
Kathmandu (Pahichan) June 20 – Bijula Barma, Nepali Congress if lawmaker of province no.3 has said concerns of sexual and gender minority would be taken into account while making any laws related to transgender.
Speaking to Pahichan, She said despite the efforts to incorporate the issues of this community through amendment proposal, they failed to do so.
“It is a big issue and problems that issues of this community are not mentioned in the constitution,” Barma said, “It clearly shows that provincial government are not serious when it comes to human rights.”
She said people’s representatives must hear the voices of sexual and gender minority.
