Transgender should get equal rights like ordinary people: Chaudhary


Kathmandhu (Pahichan) October 16 – Chief Whip of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik Yogendra Chaudhary has said that homosexual and transgender should get equal rights like ordinary citizens. Speaking to Pahichan Radio program, Chaudhary said there should not be discrimination to any citizen.

“We elected Constituent Assembly for ensuring the rights through struggle,” Chaudhary said, “Homosexual and transgender should not be denied from any rights,” he said that his party would support any voices related to ensuring human rights.

“Transgender is a god gifted and it is not a choice or interest of some people, so there should not be discrimination.” He pledged to fight for the rights of all people. He said there are some political demands of Madhes and should be addressed accordingly.
