UML leader Gaire assures the particiaption of gender and sexual minority
Kathmandu (Pahichan) April 16 – Central Committee member of CPN-UML Thakur Gaire has said that there will be the presence of gender and sexual minority in the local bodies after the eleciton. Speaking to Pahichan, Gaire said there should be representation of all communities in the local level elections.
“After the elections, members of this community will be established as people’s representatives at local level,” said Gaire. Gaire who is also head of Party’s Agriculture and Land Reform Department said UML would ensure the representation of this community in local level. He said members of this community should also choose the parties they want to join.
“Without making decisions regarding the affiliation, members of this community could blame to particular parties,” he said , adding that members of this community are working in party in the local level and there will be furtherrepresentation.
