Kathmandu (Pahichan) November 29 – Chairman of Amnesty International Nepal Rajan Kuikel has said that they are raising the issues of homosexual and transgender in the international arena. Speaking to Pahichan, Kuikel said amnesty should raise the all aspects of human right issues. “Amnesty is raising this issue at the international level, he said, adding that there is no collaboration in Nepal with this community. He said stating that there is a need of creating pressure in the all level to secure the rights.
“In the past, the human rights related to insurgency were more highlighted and there is an impression that these are only the human right issues,” said Kuikel. He said political issues have overshadowed other bilateral issues.
