Alisha Pokhrel\/Pahichan – I am currently studying BSW first year in Madhan Bhandari Memorial College. As per our syllabus, I am doing internship at Blue Diamond Society and I have to spend 250 days here.<\/p>\n
Before arriving at BDS, I did not have any knowledge about gender and sexual minority. During the childhood, I was not very aware about this community and there were some abusive words.<\/p>\n
Later, I came to know that I should say transgender. In the initial days, there was an understanding that members of this community have come from separate planet. Later, I came to know people with separate gender and physical identity are called transgender.<\/p>\n
Later, I came to know that people with different gender and physical identity are called transgender. I came to know about the Gay, Lesbian, Inter-sex, bi-sexual, transgender when I came to BDS.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I further know about the negative social attitude this community and problems they are facing to live in the society.\u00a0\u00a0Even now, many people do not know about LGBTI community.<\/p>\n
I think that members of this community must get an opportunity to live with dignity. I am very happy to work as an intern in this organization.\u00a0\u00a0I want to say thank you to Sudeep Lama Waiba.\u00a0\u00a0All members of this community provided me huge support.<\/p>\n
