Kathmandu (Pahichan) August 30 \u2013 The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) and the Nepal Society of Families of the Disappeared and Missing (NEFAD) jointly observed International Day of the Disappeared on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
This year’s event included a theatre performance (stage drama) titled\u00a0‘The Waiting Eyes’<\/em>\u00a0and the unveiling of the publication called\u00a0\u2018Missing Persons in Nepal: Updated list 2018\u2019<\/strong><\/em>. There was also interactive session dedicated to the members of the famailies of missing persons in Nepal.<\/p>\n Addressing the program, Andr\u00e9 Paquet, Head of ICRC mission in Nepal, said that conflict in Nepal ended 12 years ago and Nepal is moving towards stability.\u00a0\u201cHowever, stability has a bitter taste for the conflict victims as the Transitional Justice process has yet to reach a proper closure,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cThe International Humanitarian Law requires that authorities take all feasible measures to account for the Missing Persons.
