Issuing a press statement to unveil the decision of party\u2019s Secretariat meeting, Coordinator Baburam Bhattarai demanded to remove such provisions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provisions in the proposed bill state that people need to present a proof of sex change if they want to change their gender identity on the citizenship card. The current provision allows people to choose \u2018male\u2019, \u2018female\u2019 or \u2018others\u2019 as their sex on government-issued documents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bhattarai said such provisions would hurt the dignity of sexual and gender minority.
