Kathmandu : Nepal’s climber Dawa Finjok Sherpa has made history by summiting Mt Everest in eight days.<\/p>\n
He achieved this remarkable feat in 8 days, 13 hours, and 35 minutes, setting a record for the most Everest ascents within a short time.<\/p>\n
He stood atop the world’s highest peak (8848.86m) on May 20 at 9 pm, said Thaneswar Guragai, General Manager of Seven Summit Treks, a leading Kathmandu-based expedition operator.<\/p>\n
Dawa made his first ascent on May 12, 2024 at 7:25 am, followed by his second summit on May 17, 2024 at 3:16 pm. He achieved all these three ascents with supplemental oxygen as part of the Seven Summit Treks Everest Expedition.<\/p>\n
He is aiming to attempt the peak four times within a short period, embarking on this mission in a few days, it has been reported.<\/p>\n
