Kathmandu : MayaKo Pahichan Nepal is proud to announce a new partnership with Ek Ek Paila, a volunteer-driven health initiative dedicated to providing quality medical services in rural and underserved areas of Nepal. <\/p>\n
Through this collaboration, we are bringing essential and inclusive health care to gender and sexual minority (GSM\/LGBTI) individuals at highly subsidized rates.<\/p>\n
Starting immediately, members of the GSM\/LGBTI community can access a range of health services including general and specialist consultations, sexual health checkups, STD treatment, and HIV testing at Ek Ek Paila clinics. <\/p>\n
The cost of a general consultation is just NPR 150, while specialist consultations are available for NPR 300. Laboratory testing services are also provided at affordable prices.<\/p>\n
This partnership comes at a critical time. Following the abrupt funding cuts by U.S. President Trump, over 20 sexual health clinics catering to the GSM\/LGBTI community across Nepal have been forced to shut down. <\/p>\n
In this moment of crisis, Ek Ek Paila has opened its doors with compassion and solidarity, ensuring continued access to respectful, quality health care for vulnerable populations.<\/p>\n
MayaKo Pahichan Nepal has deployed two dedicated volunteers at Ek Ek Paila clinics to provide targeted support for GSM\/LGBTI clients, assisting them in navigating services and ensuring their needs are met with dignity and care.<\/p>\n
