Speaking to Pahichan Radio program, a voice of gender and sexual minority, the Chairman of PCN said the crux of code of conduct is not to discriminate and defame any individual. \u201cWe can issue separate directives to ensure their respect and equality,\u201d said Karki.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/pahichan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Borna-Karki.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4950\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-4950\" src=\"http:\/\/pahichan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Borna-Karki-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Borna Karki\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pahichan.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Borna-Karki-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pahichan.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Borna-Karki-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/pahichan.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Borna-Karki.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>According to him, Council is holding discussions about issuing separate codes targeting children. \u201cWe are also holding discussions about issuing separate directives for women as well,\u201d Karki informed. He said journalistic code of conduct has allowed issuing separate directives targeting some specific groups.\u00a0 \u201cCode of conduct is like a constitution for journalism sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Directives are issued for the effective implementation of journalistic code of conduct,\u201d Karki said. He said LGBTI community has not formally requested PCN to formulate code of conduct for them or use of some specific words of their community. Karki who is also senior advocate said all the citizens are equal in the eye of law. \u201cHomosexual and transgender and like other male and female so they should not be discriminated,\u201d said Karki adding that it is the responsibility of all people to provide respect to this community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cMedia sector should be more cautious about the issues of this community because they are the watchdog of society,\u201d Karki said adding that media should make an environment of equality.
