{"id":5281,"date":"2016-06-24T14:00:16","date_gmt":"2016-06-24T08:15:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pahichan.com\/?p=5281"},"modified":"2016-06-24T14:00:16","modified_gmt":"2016-06-24T08:15:16","slug":"legalize-same-sex-marriage-nba-general-secretary-khati","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pahichan.com\/en\/legalize-same-sex-marriage-nba-general-secretary-khati\/","title":{"rendered":"Legalize same-sex marriage : NBA General Secretary Khati"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kathmandu (Pahichan) June 24 &#8211; General Secretary of Nepal Bar Association Khamba Bahadur Khati has said that same-sex marriage should be legalized without any delay.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking to Pahichan Radio Program, Khati said as constitution has guaranteed the rights of sexual and gender minority they should get their marriage rights.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cConstitution has clearly spoken about their rights,the LGBTI should be granted the rights to marry according<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">to their will,\u201d Khati said.\u00a0If law is not formulated, according to him, the constitution will not be properly implemented.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNepal Bar is responsible for holding the discussion and it would provide legal support to government,\u201d he said adding that Bar will play a vital role to formulate the laws of LGBTI as per the constitutional provisions.
