Kathmandu (Pahichan) December 14 – There have been efforts to formulate laws for the formulation of\u00a0inclusive commission as per the constitution provisions. However, members of gender and sexual minority are not incorporated in the\u00a0overall process. Experts have suggested to amend bill prepared for\u00a0same purpose.<\/p>\n
According to them, there is representation marginalized,\u00a0disable and transgender in the process.\u00a0Blue Diamond Society has requested Local Development Ministry to make\u00a0the process inclusive. In the meeting organized by Social Justice and\u00a0Human Rights Committee of Parliament, they complained of not being\u00a0inclusive.<\/p>\n
They said bill has not addressed the concerns of Khas,\u00a0Arya, backward community, people with disability. They suggested to\u00a0table the bill only after the amendment. Ministry of Federal Affairs\u00a0and Local Development has proposed the bill.<\/p>\n
Chairman of BDS Pinky\u00a0Gurung has cautioned that there cannot be formulation of laws that\u00a0goes against article 18 and 42 of constitution. The letter dispatched\u00a0to Minister Hitraj Pandey said states that the issue of gender and\u00a0sexual minority is not mentioned in the bill.
