This provision helped to understand that members of this community have filed application seeking jobs. Earlier, there were not such provisions in the application form. <\/a><\/p>\nPSC made such provision after the rights of gender and sexual minority was guaranteed by new constitution.\u00a0 Spokesperson of PSC Laxmi Bilas Koirala said there is equal treatment to male, female and transgender in the recruitment process. Speaking to Pahichan, Koriala said many people are attracted to government job with a view of future security.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will treat all with equal footing. Male, female and transgender all can fight for government job,\u201d said Koirala. He said the number is normal as no one has approached asking to correct their gender section.\u00a0 Blue Diamond Society has welcomed the provisions made by PSC.<\/p>\n
Chairman of BDS Pinky Gurung said it is a good move to accommodate the members of this community and it is yet to see whether it reaches to genuine class. She said other community should not take the benefit from this but all community should get opportunity. Kathmandu (Pahichan) January 16 – 651 members of gender and sexual minority have applied for the government jobs in the Public Service Commission. Among five lakh ninety five and 31 applications for gazetted and non-gazetted, 651 are from this community. According to Gita Humagain, Joint Spokesperson at Commission, they have mentioned Others in the gender categories of application.
