This &#8216;same-sex marriage officially-registered case&#8217; is probably the first one in South Asia.<\/span><\/p>\n<div><span lang=\"en\"> Monica <\/span><span style=\"color: #212121; font-family: inherit;\">Shahi from Kailali and Ramesh Nath from Dadeldhura district married and registered their marriage earlier today (<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1563625905\"><span class=\"aQJ\">25-07-2017<\/span><\/span>). Monica Shahi is also the first <\/span><span style=\"color: #212121;\">third<\/span><span style=\"color: #212121; font-family: inherit;\"> gender who get her first passport with gender denoted as &#8216;other&#8217;.<a href=\"http:\/\/pahichan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Couple-of-monika.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-7873\" src=\"http:\/\/pahichan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Couple-of-monika-300x213.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"228\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pahichan.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Couple-of-monika-300x213.png 300w, https:\/\/pahichan.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Couple-of-monika.png 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 228px) 100vw, 228px\" \/><\/a> <\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: #212121;\"><span style=\"font-family: inherit;\">They married according to <\/span>Hindu<span style=\"font-family: inherit;\"> tradition. Ramesh Nath is already married to a woman and is father of two <\/span>children<span style=\"font-family: inherit;\">. After finding out that her husband has fallen in love with Monica, Ramesh&#8217;s first wife consented to Ramesh to marry to Minoca. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: #212121;\"><span style=\"font-family: inherit;\">She even facilitated the marriage ceremony and given written consent at the marriage registration office at the municipality office.
