{"id":8148,"date":"2017-08-19T12:34:50","date_gmt":"2017-08-19T06:49:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pahichan.com\/?p=8148"},"modified":"2017-08-19T12:37:26","modified_gmt":"2017-08-19T06:52:26","slug":"bds-disowns-same-sex-marriage-claimed-by-monika","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pahichan.com\/en\/bds-disowns-same-sex-marriage-claimed-by-monika\/","title":{"rendered":"BDS disowns same-sex marriage claimed by Monika\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu (Pahichan) August 19 &#8211; Blue Diamond Society (BDS) has made a request not to take marriage of Monika Shahi as a same-sex marriage.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pahichan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/BDS-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-8150\" src=\"http:\/\/pahichan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/BDS-1-213x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"167\" height=\"235\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pahichan.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/BDS-1-213x300.png 213w, https:\/\/pahichan.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/BDS-1.png 594w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 167px) 100vw, 167px\" \/><\/a>BDS said as same-sex marriage law is in final stage, the decision taken by some individual people should not be taken as a legalization of same-sex marriage.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pahichan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/BDS1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-8151\" src=\"http:\/\/pahichan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/BDS1-237x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"160\" height=\"203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pahichan.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/BDS1-237x300.png 237w, https:\/\/pahichan.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/BDS1.png 560w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 160px) 100vw, 160px\" \/><\/a>Society has made it clear that the marriage between Monika and Ramesh Nath Yogi cannot be accepted as same-sex marriage.<\/p>\n<p>Issuing a press release Chairman of BDS Pinky Gurung and Executive Director Manisha Dhakal made it clear that it is not same-sex marriage.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Yogi has wife and son in the home and he has not divorced with wife. He married with a transgender women. So it cannot be justified,&#8221; they said. Society would not support such move because it is unjust to family and children.<\/p>\n<p>BDS also said that it cannot support this marriage. Society has said that its attention has been drawn about the media reports about the same-sex marriage.
