Kathmandu (Pahichan) September 13 – Whoopi Goldberg talked about dicks when she appeared on\u00a0The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/em><\/a>\u00a0this week.<\/p>\n

Not just the kind she encounters in Hollywood, but the ones the stars of\u00a0her new reality TV program about a\u00a0transgender<\/a>\u00a0modeling agency keep getting asked about.<\/p>\n

The View<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>cohost\u00a0is executive producer of\u00a0Strut,<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>and as\u00a0PinkNews<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>reported, Colbert shared a clip with his audience in which one trans woman is asked if she has a penis, using the colloquial term.<\/p>\n

Goldberg explains: \u201cYou don\u2019t ask that to anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you have a dick?\u201d asked Colbert in jest.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have several, but you know what? It would be like meeting someone and saying \u2018hey, I want to ask you something, how tight is your vagina?’\u201d Goldberg replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t ask that question! These are questions you just wouldn\u2019t ask other people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou wouldn\u2019t ask people that, but because it\u2019s so new for folks\u2026\u00a0People feel transgender folks have just got here and this is very new, but transgender people have been with us for years.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the reasons you don\u2019t know that is folks don\u2019t talk about it. You see Caitlyn Jenner or Laverne Cox and think that\u2019s what it is, but the folks that we\u2019re bringing to the show are regular people who are just trying to have their lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are folks who know who they are inside\u2026 transgender people seem to make people uncomfortable for some reason. Talking to a lot of the folks we\u2019re working with, they say \u2018we\u2019ve had to do other kinds of work because people won\u2019t hire us because they\u2019re nervous or uncomfortable\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think [being a model] is a good way to not have to go in another direction because you\u2019re a transgender person. Their bravery to stand up and say \u2018this is who I am\u2019 in a world where people think it\u2019s funny or think it\u2019s silly or don\u2019t understand or who get very religious about it\u2026 it\u2019s like, listen.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod doesn\u2019t make mistakes but Mother Nature will mess with you until the cows come home! You know who you are, I know who I am. Sometimes people arrive and there\u2019s a little mix-up and they\u2019re not in the right place.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be able to say it out loud, I have to tip my hat to these folks.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
