Here are five of the hottest but lesser-known LGBTI hot spots worthy of ticking off on your bucket list!<\/h1>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div class=\"p2\">\n<h2 class=\"h2_title\">Tel Aviv, Israel<\/h2>\n<p>Ok, so the renowned gay party scene makes Tel Aviv a less unknown candidate, but it\u2019s still remarkable when you consider its proximity to countries where homosexuality is taboo. Saying \u201cthe gay capital of the Middle East\u201d is like saying the \u201cbest song on a Black Eyed Peas album!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Regardless, homosexuality is widely accepted in day-to-day life and even celebrated with Tel Aviv\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gaytelavivguide.com\/template\/default.aspx?PageId=16\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pride Week<\/a>. This event attracted 200,000 LGBTIs and allies in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/over-200000-attend-tel-aviv-gay-pride-parade-30000-from-abroad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2017<\/a>. Shenkin Street and Rothschild Boulevard provide a plethora of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nighttours.com\/telaviv\/gayguide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gay bars and cafes<\/a>. Its motto, \u2018Keep Austin Weird\u2019, encapsulates an almost utopian embrace of race, socio-economic statuses and sexualities.<\/p>\n<p>While a city of roughly only a million people, Austin is home to over a dozen\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/austin\/bars\/gay-bars-and-LGBTQ-nights\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gay bars<\/a>, with a relaxed attitude towards those who frequent them. Today it stands proudly as one of Asia\u2019s most progressive cities.<\/p>\n<p>Taiwan\u2019s gay community has always been more visible than its Asian neighbours, with Taiwan Pride attracting as many as 80,000 marchers every October. There has also been a significant\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/revista.drclas.harvard.edu\/book\/homosexual-chile-today\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cultural shift<\/a>, with Pride March, sexual diversity and HIV\/AIDS becoming part of the mainstream narrative. There are plenty of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveler.com\/stories\/2015-09-09\/pink-icelands-insider-guide-to-lgbt-reykjavik\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gay bars, saunas and hotels<\/a>, with unique events like\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rainbowreykjavik.is\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rainbow Reykjavik<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 a mix of nature, comedy shows, dance music, cuisine and activities like gay bingo. In colder months, try the self-explanatory\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bearsonice.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bears on Ice<\/a>.
