Kathmandu (Pahichan) March 25 – The transgender community has experienced significant progress in terms of legal recognition in Nepal, there are still lots of challenges and lingering issues to access services and provisions for transgender at the local level. This Project will help to create equality in law and transgender friendly society so that transgender people will not face any discrimination, violence, inequality in the society in long-term.<\/div>\n

Challenge<\/h4>\n

Nepalese Transgender has still faced the stigma and discrimination from the society, Now current situation Nepal has to endorse legal rights of LGBTI community in the constitution but still government bodies and even self Transgender community are still unaware about this. So transgender community still face the lot of discrimination to unknow about there rights and service<\/p>\n

Solution<\/h4>\n

Many transgender people will engage with policymakers; local level parliamentarian from the beginning as these parliamentarians are recently elected last year and beginning of this year. This will help the local community to make good relation with policy makers by engaging them from the beginning. Many people are new on it. So TG people want to grab this opportunity through this project to start a local level trans movement to write the policy which should be transgender friendly.<\/p>\n

Long-Term Impact<\/h4>\n

This funding will help to create equality in law and transgender friendly society so that transgender people will not face any discrimination, violence, inequality in the society in long-term. This funding will show the great impact of empowered transgender people so that transgender people will secure their funding opportunity at local level government in long run.<\/p>\n
