I challenge govt to bring machine to test our sexuality : Adhikari
Kathmandu (Pahichan) March 28 – A member of sexual and gender minority has challenged the government to bring a machine to test their sexuality. He made such comment in response to the new provision that members of this community must present medical proof to get citizenship.
Bishwaraj Adhikari, who owned the title first handsome gay in 2013 urged the lawmakers to correct such provisions. He said sexual orientation and feelings which cannot be determined by Machine. He said even the doctors are not able to find out the sexual orientation. He said all members of this community cannot change their sexual organ. He further added that if heterosexual members can get citizenship same should be applied in the case of LGBTI community.
Adhikari was denied from studying law due to this sexual identity. He had filled the examination form but authorities forced him to delete this provision. Adhikari further added that though same-sex marriage is not legalized in Nepal members of this community are in same-sex relations. He demanded to introduce same-sex law without any delay for the protection of this community.
