Population census would take place in every 10 years. CBS has prepared a directive and has been forwarded to cabinet for the endorsement, according to Director Dhundi Raj Lamichhane. The directives would identify the methods to be adopted for the census. In the earlier census held in 2068, very few members of this community identified themselves as sexual and gender minority.
However, it has been not incorporated in the main questionnaire and Lamichhane claimed that it happened due to disagreement of this community. According to him, family members are always reluctant to give details about this community which has created problems to make the record of this community.
