Few resources, a lot of works : Gurung urges to continue the program

Kathmandu (Pahichan) May 5 – Chairman of Blue Diamond Society Pinky Gurung has urged to give continuity to the programs related to HIV prevention and other treatment services. The program launched by National Centre for AIDS and STD Control is going to expire by the end of this fiscal year (July) and Gurung urged to give continuity. Other participants said members of sexual and gender minorities who are affected from HIV has members of this community are compelled to face discrimination.

Keeping up-to-date information, coordination, keeping the information of infected people secret and providing positive message from media is the urgent needs of hour. BDS through the support of Center is launching various programs under this category.

The BDS has informed that they are extending services in other districts as well. In the program, Executive Director of Blue Diamond Society Manisha Dhakal informed about the preparations being made to observe world day against homophobia and transphoiba. BDS is organizing Miss. Pink competition on the same day. On the same day, there will be the launch of drama Jiaudo Aakash.
