Kathmandu (Pahichan) May 8 – Closed-door training session has begun for the 18 transgender woman who were selected for Miss Pink Competition. The competition is taking place on May 17, the international day against homopbhobia and transphobia. Blue Diamond Society is going to organize the competition.
The participants in the training represent the various districts. Choreographer Rajesh Lama, Simran Sherchan of National Federation of Sexual and Gender Minority, Bhumika shrestha of Blue Diamond Society and former Miss Pink Ani Lama are providing training to them.
Rajesh is playing a special role in the training. Now, members of this community are gradually disclosing their identity. “Is there anyone who want to be exposed in media?,” Chairman of Blue Diamond Society said.
Gurung said members of this community are very frank and they are putting their positions without any hesitations. The selected participants said it is their achievement to set such stage.
