Kathmandu : The logo T-shirt for the Mr Gay Nepal 2024 has been made public amid an event here on Thursday. Mr Gay Nepal 2024 is a segment of the First International Tourism Conference slated for April 20-21.

The conference is a collaborative effort between Mayako Pahichan Nepal, a non-profit organisation advocating for the rights of sexual and gender minorities, and the Nepal Tourism Board.

Model, choreographer and host Priya Rani Lama, make-up artist Chandra Gurung, Mr Gay Handsome 2017 participant Manil Singh, Madhu KC, and Vice President of Mayako Pahichan Nepal and Secretary Surendra Pandey jointly released the Mr Gay Nepal T-shirt.

The close camp for Mr Gay Nepal contestants has started from Thursday. A total of 18 participants have been selected from across the country for the camp. Secretary of Mayako Pahichan Nepal Pandey informed that 18 people will participate in the final match that will take place at Chhaya Center Thamel on April 22.

The winner of Mr. Gay Nepal title will qualify for Mr Gay World in UK scheduled for August 21, 2024, he added. The title winter will receive Rs 100,000, the first runner-up Rs 75,000, the second runner-up Rs 50,000 along with hampers, and certificates.

In 2013, Bishwaraj Adhikari won the inaugural Mr Gay Handsome title, while Manil Singh won the second Gay Handsome title in 2017. The Mr Gay Nepal 2024 is taking place in a gap of six years.

Meanwhile, Mayako Pahichan Nepal has announced that Mr Gay Nepal will continue. The organisation was established in 2080 BS.

Within six months of its establishment, the organisation has organised the First International Pink Tourism Conference in Nepal. “Many countries, including Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, the United States, United Kingdom, German and South Africa have registered for the conference,” said Pandey.
