Kathmandu (Pahichan) May 20 -In the April 25 devastating earthquake, Community Health Officer of Blue Diamond Society jyoti Prakash KC has died. Similarly, communication officer of the Society and Central Committee member Madhav Dulal was bereaved. Dulal’s father Govinda Dulal died in the earthquake.
KC’s dead body was recovered from debris after the three days of earthquake. KC was working at the Care and Support Unit, according to Executive Director of Society Manisha Dhakal. Society Chairman Pinki Gurung, Dhakal and Deputy Director Parshuram Rai paid a final tribute to KC at the Pashupati Aaryaghat. Society has expressed a deep sorrow over the demise of KC. Similarly, Society has expressed sorrow over the demise of Madhav Dulal’s father Govinda Dulal in the earthquake. Govinda Dulal died after his house, located at Kashikhanda Municipality- 2, kave, collapsed due to the earthquake.
Minister for Information and Communication Minendra Rijal and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs Prakash Man Singh expressed the sorrow over the phone on the demise of Govinda Dulal. Over the demise of Govinda Dulal, Chairman of Federation of Nepalese Journalists Mahendra Bista, Vice-president Anita Bindu and Khil Bahadur Bhandari, general secretary Ujir magar,Treasurer Surya Mani Gautam, Secretary Sangita Gautam reached Dulal’s residence and expressed the sorrow. Similarly, Chairman of Nepal Press Union Badri Sigdel, Vice-chairman Ishwori Ojha, Chairman of Press Chautary Rajendra Aryal, Chairman of Revolutionary Journalist Association Govinda Acharya also expressed the sadness. Chairman of Economic Journalist Association Bigyan Adhikari, Lok Bahadur Chapgain reached the house and expressed sadness.
Nepali Congress Kavre President Shiva Prasad Humagain, former lawmaker Harshajit Lama, NC local leader Ramesh Humagain, FNJ Kavre President Narayan Sapkota, former president Bhola Thapa, Mahesh Poudel, Press Union Kavre President Kapil Koirala, Editor of Deshparadesh.com Sunil Neupane, Editor of edukhabar.com Shreedhar paudel, Editor of Chesta Weekly Motiram Timalsena, Chairman of Nil Hira Society Pinki Gurung, Executive Director Manisha Dhakal , Deputy Director Parshuram Rai, third gender right activist Sushila Lamal, Bisoraj Adhikari, Anil Sherpa, Gauri Nepal, Kanchan Adhiari and legal advisor of Society Sujan Panta reached Dulal’s residence and expressed sorrow over the demise of Govind Dulal.
Madhav Dulal, Central Committee member of FNJ and Editor of Pahichan Online is the elder son of late Govinda Dulal. Pahichan media wishes that demise souls may rest in peace. In the earthquake, more than eight thousand people have already lost their life. The house of Sushil Lama, third gender right activist, which is located in Sankhu of Kavre district and Sanjya Tamang’s house located in Dhunkharka of Kavre district, have collapsed. Similarly, houses of Gauri Nepal, correspondent of Pahichan Media and Ambia Dahal has also collapsed. Similarly, office buildings of Nil Hira Society located at Dhumbarahi, and buildings of Care and Support Unit have cracked due to the earthquake.
According to Parshiram Rai, hundreds of homosexuals and transgender lost their shelter. According to Chairman of Society Gurung, homosexuals and transgender are living under the open sky. According to her, government has not yet provided by relief packages to homosexuals and third genders. Dhakal said Society is making efforts to collect and provide relief packages to homosexuals and third gender. Save the Children and Nepal Red Cross Society has provided 40 tents and 80 blankets have been already distributed.
