Kathmandu (Pahichan) January 23 – Singer Astha Raut has said that all the sections of society should lend their support for homosexual and transgender for creating an equitable society. Raut said she is also ready to sing a song for protecting the rights of gender and sexual minority.
“I see all the people in the same way. I sing for rights and awareness, I am ready to sing songs without remuneration,” She said. She shared of having transgender friends who are basically foreigners. “Marriage is not just to give birth to children it is also a combination of two souls so that same-sex marriage should be legalized to ensure that two people who wishes to live together should be allowed,” She said.
She further added that there is not any discrimination between homosexual and heterosexual as all human beings are equal. She underlined the need of implementation of constitution which has addressed the rights of minority and all should provide their support.
