Makwanpur (Pahichan) April 23 – It has been found that 18 people are infected from HIV AIDS in the last 10 months. The data was explored during the campaign launched by Blue Diamond Society.
The campaign on HIV Prevention and Treatment was launched in association with Save the Children. Prakash Niraula who is working with BDS, said due to the lack of lup and condoms it has been difficult to meet the target.
Out of 18, 13 are homosexual male and 5 are transgender. It has been discussed that the service and facilities received from the organization should be continued in the future days.
Twenty eight homosexual and transgender from various districts complained that members of this community are deprived from education, employment, health and other facilities.
