BDS gears up for a LGBTI cultural show

Kathmandu (Pahichan) June 12 – National Dance Competition of homosexual and transgender is taking place in Kathmandu. Blue Diamond Society, a national organization advocating and fighting for the rights of gender and sexual minority, is organizing such event in June 25, 2017 in Rastirya Nach Ghar Jamal.

The purpose of the event is to bring together the artists of this community who are dispersing in the various districts. The winners will get the prizes of more than 50 thousand cash.

“The purpose of the program is to bring together the artists of this community along with demonstrating their capability and knowledge,” said Pinky Gurung, Chairman of Society.

Earlier, Society organised Miss Pink, Mr, Gay and other competition. The chief purpose of such event is to bring about a positive change in society regarding the gender and sexual minority.

Not only the members of this community, the people interested in dances and cultural programs are invited in the program and there is not any entry fee.
