Kathmandu (Pahichan) July 8 – A team of Blue Diamond Society(BDS) has participated in National Folk Song competetion. The main theme of BDS song was that members of this community can contibute for the national development and the efforts to convince society regarding the issues of this community will be continued.
Shyam Rana’s song was focused on demanding the rights of this community. After Rana’s song, Senior Vice-chairman of Sanskritik Sansthan Ramesh Biji urged not to view the members of this community in a negative way. He said all people are equal and there is gradual respect to the members of gender and sexual minority.
The team led by Rabin Lamichhane has become the first security 1082.5 score. The first song received one lakh cash as a prize. Similarly, the team led by Bhim Poudel became the second securing fifty thousand cash. The team led by Shyam Rana has secured third position security 25 thousand. Other members of team were Shankar Chhetri, Babita Baniya Jeri and Maiya Thapa Magar.
