Kathmandu (Pahichan) November 5 – Literary figure Gokul Adhikari said that due to the lack of understanding about gender and sexual minority their issues are not incorporated in the various branches of literature.
Speaking to Pahichan Radio program, he said as society understands this issue; it will get space in literature. “We incorporate the issues we see in the society,” Adhikari said adding that literature is the mirror of the society. “If there is knowledge about this community like male and female their issues could have been incorporated in the literature,” Adhikari said. He said in course of time, the issues of this community will get space in the literature.
He said some people are portraying in community in a negative way due to the lack of knowledge. Others are presenting this community in a positive light, he said. Adhikari’s collection of poems Godhuli has been unveiled. He prepared this book after the preparation of 10 years.
