Kaski (Pahichan) November 17 – Collective campaign has begun in Pokhara for controlling HIV AIDS. The campaign was started since 2016 which was initiated by Health Rights Group. The program was launched with a slogan of Health is right of all.
The group was formed by trained women with a purpose of ensuring health access to women, sexual workers, drug users and transgender.
In the program, ideas were shared on how to end the violence against this community. All the groups have their own complications. Program Coordinator, Sharmila Baidya said social perspective on gender and sexual minority is yet to be changed.
“Transgender is a gift of god. We are happy. State should ensure the rights written in the constitution, “Transgender Raj Chhetri said. Nani Babu Dhakal, Focal Person at District Health Office Kaski said all should get the right to live with respect. Dhakal said any persons should raise their voices in a decent manner.
