Raj Chaudhari/Kailali (Pahichan) April 6 – Members of gender and sexual minority have performed dances in a program organized by Women Forum Kailali chapter. The theme of dance was there is a right of every individual in his body, labor and identity.
Transgender Pari said it is due to the patriarchal mindset, members of this community are facing a lot of difficulties to adjust themselves in the society.
She said members of this community are reluctant to disclose their identity. Karuna Nepal, Vice-chairman of Far-western Society said the program was organized to highlight the issues of this community.
Nepal requested to bring a change in the social attitude of this society. The program was attended by lawmakers of province no 7, elected representatives and other stakeholders.
