Kathmandu (Pahichan) April 25 – Dance Director Gautam Tandukar has said that any dances that would dominate transgender must be shunned. Speaking to Pahichan, Tandukar made such statement in the context of recent reactions over a dance held in Chhenai, India.
Tandukar said though he has not yet worked with transgender, he has presented male as female in the dance. “In Chhenai, two male were presented as female in the dance but local people objected it. Such behavior could harass or dominate the transgender,” said Tandukar.
He already gave up to present boys in the girl’s dress and appearance in the dance program. He was of the view that all human creatures are equal in the eyes of law and there should not be any discrimination. He said same-sex marriage should be legalized.
