We must get an environment in live without any difficulties, say Gay male

Kathmandu (Pahichan) June 25 – Gay male have demanded to implement their rights in order to ensure their rights to stay in society without any difficulties. They demanded to address their issues without any delay. While Speaking in a visibility program organized in Thamel, they urged all not to understand them as a sex. Like others in society, we want to live a dignified live in the society after the marriage, they said.

First Mr. Gay Handsome, Bisho Raj Adhikari said members of this community must not fear to disclose their identity in the society.  He said members of this community must be aware about their constitutional and legal rights mentioned in constitution and law.

Miss Pink Winner 2018 Anjal Lama informed about the scholarship provided by K and K College to the members of this community. Rights activist Peter Rai underlined the need of informing journalist about the sexual and gender minority.  Subas Pokhrel underlined the need of informing about the HIV infection. He presented the details on MAM and TG. “The infection rate has reached to 6.8 percent,” he said, adding that this data does not cover the rural areas.

Founding Chairman of The Living Divine Foundation Dr.Risharbh reshu informed about introducing self-reliance programs for sexual and gender minority. He said anyone could join the program taking permission from Blue Diamond Society. Foundation is going to organized Mr and Miss Rainbow competition. He sought the help from Blue Diamond Society to organize such programs. Like in India, he said the movement of LGBTI must be made visible in Nepal.

Legal Advisor to Blue Diamond Society Sujan Panta said members of this community can receive citizenship mentioning their identity in the gender section. He suggested exercising the rights mentioned in the constitution. Executive director at BDS, Manisha Dhakal said there is a need of informing many journalists about LGBTI community. She said BDS will launch the campaign garnering support from all walks of the lives.

Chairman of Blue Diamond Society Pinky Guring said organization is launching various programs. Gurung said members of this community must disclose their identity.
