Tewa provides 50 thousand for advocacy programs

Kailali (Pahichan) June 27 – Tewa Kathmandu has provided 50 thousand to Ekta Nepal as a part of second installment grant of 2017\18. The money will be spent for the advocacy and organize interaction progress targeting sexual and gender minority.

Ekata Nepal was established in 2066 to promote the human rights of sexual and gender minority. It is operated by transgender male and Lesbian.

This is working in the LGBTI areas. Anuja Shrestha, Program Manageer at Tewa provided the money in order to build the leadership and organize interaction program with stakeholders.

Bibek Singh said there is not positive attitude towards this community and there is not support even from family.  Singh said such assistances will be spent for the awareness program.
