Kathmandu (Pahichan) July 27 – Vice-chairman of Care Human Rights Alam Khan has said that all concerned stakeholders should speak about the sexual and gender minority and problems faced by them. Care Human Rights is working to secure the human rights of all communities.
He said homosexuals are facing more discrimination than Dalit, Indigenous group and Muslim. “The state’s perspectives towards this community is different, they are facing difficulties to receive citizenship. I have told Surkhet Police and Administration not to discriminate this community and adhere to law and order,” he said. He said transgender are facing difficulties due to their separate dress.
“Our religious scripts have not mentioned anything about this community. I will study about it in the coming days,” he said.He urged the members of this community to public and join hands to fight together for the rights of this community.
“We are ready to accommodate this community, let’s work together for common cause,” he said. “We have a situation that we have to approach court to receive our citizenship,” he said. “We have to court to secure the rights provided by government,” he added.
