Raj Chaudhari/Kailali (Pahichan) August 1 – Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (LBT) community of far-western have complained that they are compelled to marry following the pressure from family. Speaking at a program organized by EKata Nepal, a branch office of Blue Diamond Society, due some members has attempted suicide due to the discrimination from family and society.
They also said that they are facing difficulties due to the lack of sufficient knowledge about their sexuality. “We are facing discrimination in each and every sector, we are denied from employment opportunities,” they said.
They said family members are forcing them to marry against their will. They underlined the need of continuation of struggle to secure the rights.
