Kathmandu (Pahichan) August 15 – Gender and sexual minority student forum has registered its participation in the program held on the auspicious occasion of International Youth Day.
Nepal began to celebrate this day since 2002 and Sport Ministry and Youth Council are joining hands to celebrate the day. After the establishment of student forum of this community, participation of this community in such programs increased.
From 2013, this community is participating the program. According to Bhakti Shah, the participation of this community this year was high in comparison to previous years. “There is increasing awareness about this community and Youth Council is inviting us in its programs,” said Shah.
In the past, members of this community were reluctant to participate in such programs now number of participation is increasing, he said.
