Pandit new chair of Sancharika Samuha

Kathmandu (Pahichan) September 17 – Nitu Pandit has been elected as a chair of Sancharika Samuha, a non-governmental organizational working in the field of media rights, especially focusing on women journalists.

A 13-member team has been constituted under Pandit’s leadership. Kamal Panthi has been elected as vice-chair, Bimala Tumkhewa as general secretary, Yasodha Adhikari secretary and Shima Sharma has been elected as treasurer.

Members of Kriti Bhattarai, Pabitra Sunuwar, Rubi Rauniyar, Urbashi Basnyat, Durga Karki, Basanti Bastola, Kabita Thapa and Sanjita Ghikire.  Samuha has facilitated four journalists.

 

 

 

Santa Gahamagar who is working on onlinekhabar has been awarded by Sancharika Equality Award which bags 15 thousand in cash.

Other facilitated journalist is Gita Kunwar, Barsha Shah and Silpa Karna. Defense Minister Ishwar Pokhrel was the chief guest of the program.
