Rupandehi (Pahichan) January 3 – Lesbian Puja Thapa has said that identity of sexual and gender minority is in crisis. She said government’s attitude towards sexual and gender minority remains unchanged.
She said national anthem has also shown that there are various minority communities in society. Thapa is of the view that all citizens should be treated in an equal way.
“All the minority community should be viewed with equality and respect but there is discrimination to this community.” She is of the view that government should formulate same-sex marriage without any delay.
Speaking to Pahichan Online, She said members of this community are facing problems as donor agencies have stopped providing economic assistances.
Thapa has adopted children but there are not such legal provisions which have may affect the future of adopted children. It has been 10 months since she adopted children but there are not regular income source, Thapa said.
