Kathmandu (Pahichan), October 16- Sexual and gendered minorities now can register a company specifying their own gendered identity. The office of Company Registrar has recently made a facility for the community of sexual minorities to register a company specifying themselves as ‘other’ sex.
The government has made the provision in order to end discrimination between male-female and third gender.
Earlier, people had to identify themselves as either ‘male’ or ‘female’ while registering any business firm or company. According to advocate Sujan Pant, now the third gender can register their company as per their gendered identity.
Sexual minorities have taken the new move of the government as an achievement of their campaign for the rights, said the Blue Diamond Society, an organisation fighting for the rights of sexual minorities for past 14 years.
