Indira Neupane/ Makawanpur (Pahichan) March 22 – Transgender Sandhaya Lama has filed a complaint at District Police Office Makawanpur demanding to take action against the people who use abusive words.
Lama who works in Birgunj office filed such case against Thulo Bhai Shreshta who abused when she was living in her house. She claimed that Shrestha scolded her through several words.
She said Shrestha scolded her without any substantial reasons. Shrestha used to ask her mother when she was out. Case has been filed by a team consisting her and human rights activist Sumit Poudel who is working in branch office Makawanpur.
Poudel said though there isgradual change in society about this community, the mindset of some people remains unchanged. Receiving the complaint police has assured of taking action.
