Makawanpur (Pahichan) August 17 – Barsha Ale Magar has been elected as a Chairman of Friends Hetauda, an organization working for gender and sexual minority. She has been elected as chair from Annual general meeting held on Shrawan 29 which also elected other nine office bearer and members.
Shyam Kumar Dahal has been elected as vice-chairman, Sumit Poudel as Secretary, Indira Neupane as Treasurer. Members of working committee are Suraj Thapa, Sujan Khadka, Rubi Bhomjan, Laxman Sapkota and Ansik Thokar. Former Chairman Anshik Thokar congratulated the newly elected team expressing a hope that organization would be more effective to address the issues of gender and sexual minority.
Thokar urged to ensure the representation of this community in each and every sector. Newly elected Chairman thanked all for lending their support. “I want to express sincere thanks to all the members to elect me as members,” said Magar.
