Kathmandu (Pahichan) September 2 – The Muslim community in the country is celebrating the EId.This year, Eid-al-Adha or Bakra Eid will be celebrated from today, that is 1st September to 2nd September, 2017. The government has announced a public holiday for Sunday on the occasion .
In a month-long Ramadan (Roja) festival, the Muslim fraternity mainly keeps them refrain from consuming food from dawn to dusk. LGBTI rights activist from Bangladesh Rakibul hasan celebrated EID with members of gender and sexual minority.
He said that the celebration of festival would help to make familiar to each other about cultural and customs of both countries. Chairman of Blue Diamond Society Pinky Gurung and Executive Director Manisha Dhakal greeted him on the occasion of EID.
