Kathmandu (Pahichan) September 5 – Executive Director of Blue Diamond Society Manisha Dhakal has said that the main agenda of National Consultative gathering is related to implementation of constitution.
According to her law-making process under constitutional provisions, incorporating the agenda of this community in school curricula, the role of media in establishing the role of transgender, are major agenda of national gathering.
The meeting is taking on Thursday and Friday in Pokhara. Dhakal said law making process under constitutional provision is the major agenda of discussions. There will be panel discussions on how to incorporate the agenda of this community in the curricula of grade 11 and 12.
The Curriculum Development Centre is developing new curricula of grade 11 and 12. BDS is undertaking discussions on the same matter. Dhakal said there should be environment of positive discrimination and there should be reservation for gender and sexual minority.
She underlined the need of legalizing the same-sex marriage. She underlined the need of ending discrimination to the members of this community that comes from family.
