Kaski (Pahichan) September 11 – Actress Karishma Manandhar has said that society is yet to accept gender and sexual minority. Speaking at National Consultative Meeting (NCM) held in Pokhara, Manandhar said she has treated gender and sexual minority in an equal way.
Manandhar said there are many homosexual and transgender friends. “I always accept the invitation made transgender and homosexual. Some members of this community feel alone,” said Manandhar. Manandhar said her doors are always open for the gender and sexual minority.
Manadhar said she came to know about this community while she stayed in America. She said some people ask her saying: Are you ok?, due to her proximity to homosexual and transgender. Manandhar said there should not be discrimination the members of this community.
